The Colour of Broken

by Amelia Grace

Twice long-listed to be made into a movie, and #1 on Amazon, multiple times. Used as a teaching resource for Meniere's lived experience at the University of Queensland, Australia. This novel was stolen for AI training.

A dark secret ... Yolande Lawrence-Harrison was hiding a dark secret. She'd returned to her hometown of Tarrin to help her ailing grandmother in Flowers for Fleur, where she had to put her engineering career aside to learn the science of flower art.

A note ... As Yolande fussed with the pale pink roses in the basket of her grandmother’s 1950s Schwinn Cruiser bicycle, she discovered a note. Yolande fumed at the pitiful manners and pure arrogance of the wording, and after numerous exchanges, she became irritated by the persistent, annoying, pig-headed, obstinate human being who wouldn’t take no for an answer.

Beware ..But when Alexander Parker walked into Flowers for Fleur, her thoughts scattered. However, she refused to inhale the alluring potion he offered. She could see through his projected façade, where his perfection was a practised deceit. She wondered, if she could see through his pretence, could he see through hers? Could he see that she was damaged, hiding a past that ate away at her core allowing the darkness to engulf what was left of her inner light. Could he see that she was the color of broken?

Run ... Yolande wanted to run. Away from the flowers. Away from Alexander Parker. But she couldn’t. Her  grandmother’s life was fading as she battled an incurable illness (Meniere's disease), and Yolande needed to choose whether to fight her past or not, ultimately exposing her inner demons, in order to save her grandmother and herself from the same fate.

All the Colours Above

by Amelia Grace

This novel was stolen for AI training.

INDIGO FEATHER DANUBE is a neuroscientist studying memories, how to access them, then remove them, digitally.

One day, her parents implore her to attend a reunion at the park of her youth, where TOBIAH BROOKS dares her to climb the Jacaranda tree of her childhood. But first, she must remember who he is. They meet before sundown, with Indigo’s intention to succeed at the dare, then leave. But his intention is to win her heart. Tobiah orchestrates a secret rendezvous at the Jacaranda tree on the luminous full moon, when it’s light enough to see, but dark enough to cloak their presence.
No one could possibly know they were there once a month. Together. Alone.

Every story has a beginning. At the beginning of Indigo and Tobiah’s story, is a girl who meets a boy. A girl who wasn’t in the habit of falling in love, until her heart bloomed like a thousand red roses with the scent of citrus, spice, and sweet fruit, surrounded by a dreamy and exhilarating melody of love. Until ... that day that can’t be undone. On that day of the wish that can’t be unwished. And that moment in time ... when she learned the truth.

Mirror. Mirror. Two mirrors. Two of me. Who am I?

A written journal is a powerful mindfulness tool. It gives you focus, reflection, and control, and has been proven to increase activity in the brain's motor cortex, providing a meditative and therapeutic effect.

The Daily Meniere's Journal is designed to help identify triggers and patterns in your life that may cause the symptoms of Meniere's disease, each day for 3 months. Each day, you can  highlight any of the 30 symptoms you are experiencing on that day, and add your own unique symptoms, including recording the weather, food and fluid intake. There is also a place to record what you were doing on that day, as well as possible visual, physical and emotional triggers.

Each page also has a 'What Helped Me?' section, and below that, a place to add notes, such as duration and severity of vertigo, new symptoms etc, you can even take note of whether you had a good day, celebrating victories.

Something that sets this journal apart is the 'Mindfulness' focus on each page - 'Three Things I am Thankful for Today'. Plus, I encourage you to be creative and add your own stamp to the journal ~ gluing in inspirational sayings, prayers, letters to yourself, adding your own artwork by drawing or painting over the supplied pages - it's a journal towards wellness in body and mind.

This journal is highly recommended by health professionals, for when you have to show what your Meniere's is like on a daily basis.

Used as a teaching resource for university students at the University of Queensland, Australia.

It's time to take back what Meniere's disease has taken from you. It is my hope that a cure is found.

A project by people living with Meniere's disease

A whirl of people with Ménière’s disease spun out of control and created this low-sodium cookbook, taking revenge on the ‘Dizzy Terror’. They collected low-sodium recipes from people with lived experience with Ménière’s, so the Ménière’s monster is starved of the sodium in our food!

Besides recipes, inside you’ll find information about sodium, foods that fight inflammation, salt free seasonings, marinades and rubs for the art of flavour, a 4 week meal plan, your own meal planner, and pages to add your own recipes and notes.

Dedicated to those who have Ménière’s disease, in response to the many who ask, ‘Does anyone have any good recipes with low sodium?’

In the Storm

His Love

A Global Meniere's & Vestibular Project of Faith, Love and Hope

print book

God offers his hand to pull us out of our darkest moments. For many Christians, or followers of God and Jesus, faith is what helps them through the seemingly insurmountable moments, and the hope that it brings. In this book, In the Storm ~ His Love, you’ll find  Ménière’s and Vestibular stories of Christian faith, testimonies, songs, poems, prayers, and artwork, as we ‘shout to the Lord’ our thanks and praise for His grace and love and mercy, honouring Him. He sees our tears and bottles them.

Psalm 56:8 - You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.

Hebrews 4:13 - Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight.

Philippians 4:6-7 - Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

This book is to honour our Heavenly Father and Jesus for  the love and mercy and grace given to us.

This book is not just about our stories, it’s about our prayers, our poems, our heart songs, our art, our favourite verses and scripture, our thanks.

A Cochlear Implant Journey

by Julieann Wallace

My Hearing Addiction

Emotional. Informative. Inspiring.

Julieann Wallace has shared her cochlear implant story after many requests for her to write her journey as a book. She has become an influencer in Meniere’s groups with her triumph over Meniere’s disease, and now her cochlear implant success.

‘I’m filled with so much doubt. I am choosing to get a cochlear implant. Am I allowed to choose? Or should I just accept my fate that I will remain without hearing for the length of my days, auditory colour disappearing from my life. People keep telling me that a cochlear implant will change my life. Could it be true?’

This is Julieann’s journey to hearing again. Her heart story. Her fears. Her anxieties. Her questioning. Her appointments. Her reactions. Her debilitating Meniere’s Disease. Her cochlear implant success. Her hearing addiction.
